Park 50LTDGL

The Park 50LTDGL is a recreation of the ubiquitous 50 watt plexi British two-channel, four-input amp as used by so many artists on stage and on recordings throughout the 1960s and 1970s. The amp is also a clone of the modified vintage Park amp Mitch Colby lent to George Lynch in 1991 that was used exclusively on “Sacred Groove”. That amp was recently recreated for George and he is using it on his current gigs in place of his vintage plexi amps. This new version features a push-pull switch on Channel I’s Volume control that converts it from a warmer version of the plexi 50 to the more aggressive Lead version for increased flexibility.

Faithful to the originals, the Park 50LTD incorporates hard to find new old stock vintage parts (NOS) such as Iskra, Piher and Allen Bradley resistors, Phillips Mustard and Lemco capacitors all affixed to a Paxolin board with split top turrets. A custom Merren output transformer and “Winged C” EL34s top things off on this highly detailed, hand built amplifier. Only 10 Park 50LTDs will be built in New York by Mitch Colby.

"I used the Park 50 at Lynch Mob rehearsal today and it sounds beautiful.  Same qualities as my 68 plexi when it's having a good day but at a tamer volume.  Thank u for building a ridiculously faithful amp.  I'm taking it to m3 fest tomorrow and fest in Tulsa Saturday." George Lynch

Park 45 GT Red LTD

The Park 45 GT red is a clone of the red Park 45 formally owned by Aspen Pittman of Groove Tubes. You can find it on the cover of the Groove Tubes book (various editions). Inside Aspen describes what a wonderful sounding amp this is and so do everyone who has ever heard this amp (and I have spoken to many!). A good friend of mine now owns this amp and was nice enough to let me copy it down to the voltages, original parts, replaced parts and modifications.

The result is a fantastic sounding version of this classic 45 circuit (but built a little bit neater!).

Here are some of the details: 1) Modified for EL34s which gives the amp a smooth midrange that makes the OD sound punchier. 2) Every amp in the limited edition run will come supplied with NOS Siemens EL34s (they may be stamped with various brands but they are in fact, Siemens EL34s). 3) More filtering for a tighter sound. 4) Red cabinet, looks cool! 5) various parts used in the circuit as modified int eh original amp so that it is copied in finite detail. 6) Merren power and output transformers. 7) Aluminum chassis. 8) This amp has the 45 circuit with it's higher voltages but even with EL34s it is a 35 watt amp (clean) and 50 watts fully cranked.

Park 75 Limited Edition

The Park 75 Limited Edition is another version of the classic four input, two channel British plexi circuit that employs KT88 tubes. It features hand wiring, NOS Piher and AB resistors, NOS "mustard" and "chicklet" capacitors plus a Merren output transformer all housed in a Park small box format head shell. As with all Park amps we use carefully selected parts to recreate the sound and feel of the originals including custom USA made transformers (built the old fashioned way with paper bobbins), welded gold Zinc plated steel chassis, custom Park banana knobs and Park black plexi block go. This amp is a wolf in sheep's clothing. By using KT88s and the same transformers as the Park 50, the Park 75 puts out 50 watts clean and 90 watts at full tilt!

Quote from P75 owner Dimitri Pantelakis:

Mitch, My Park75 is awesome, very much the best sounding amp in my stable. I can't believe the extremely rich harmonic content that it has which makes it so musical, and fun to play and listen. I would not change a thing on this amp, it rocks! I dimed vol1 and halfway on vol2, used my Strat volume to go from very clean to slight break up when I really crank all the way up. I am tempted to get another one this year. How many more of the 20 allotment do you have available? My band mates and friends are drooling. Thanks again so much.

The limited edition run of 15 Park 75s has been increased to 20 due to popular demand! We were able to procure enough parts to build another five amps.

TOP MOUNT PARK 45

The top mount 45 uses the classic vintage British 45 circuit with KT66 output tubes for a rich tone that sounds great clean and when cranked. At 30 watts clean and 45 watts fully cranked this circuit has been heard on countless seminal guitar recordings from the 1960s through the present. The limited edition version is truly classic and destined to be a highly sought collectible. It uses hard to find NOS parts including Piher and Allen Bradley resistors as well as Lemco and Mustard capacitors all affixed to a brown paxolin circuit board with split turrets. Its classic looks are created with the Park black plexi logo, nickel plated vents, EC Collins reissue Park pinstripe grill cloth and Park's unique "banana" pointer knobs. Merren clone power and output transformers are employed to insure dynamic, touch-sensitive, pure vintage tone from a newly made amplifier.

PARK 45 LTD COMBO

The limited edition combo uses the same chassis as the Top Mount 45 LTD head with all its special parts. The speakers are vintage correct UK manufactured Celestion Heritage G12M 20 watt speakers. The Park 2x12 combo differs from a "traditional" British 2x12 in that it is smaller. The size of the cabinet has a lot to do with the sound and the Park combo has a tighter sound and feel due the the compact size compared to larger 2x12 combos. Combined with the vintage correct, NOS parts and Merren transformers, the limited edition's organic sound and feel makes it a fantastic looking, tone machine.
